Subject: Wayne County - Absalom Ellis

I am looking for the will or probate for my 5th great grandfather, Absalom Ellis. He died in Wayne County April 28, 1828. He was a revolutionary soldier and I am trying to collect my documents to turn into the DAR. I am not sure where to look for those records and would love any help you can give me.  I am not sure where he is buried but would like to know that also. Our local historical society holds all these records but I know it varies from town to town and state to state. Thanks so much for your help.
