My grandparents Senas Davis Byrd and Elizabeth Euphemia Byrd lived on Jurney St. in Mt. Olive. I do not know the origin of the street name.

I can't answer your question about Thomas Uzzell and the Revolutionary War, but I would like to know more about the Uzzell Reunions. My g-g-grandfather was Major Uzzell Jr., who left North Carolina between 1851-1859 and moved his family to Montgomery County, Texas. I would love to be on the family mailing list.

Bethany Friends church is located in Grantham close to Cox's Mill. The church building is at Waynesborough Park in Goldsboro

All the queries are still there and will continue to be posted as queries same as always. Message board items don't categorize the same as surname queries since they are often concerned with places or services or general questions.

For the Broadhurst query, go to the queries page, click on Surnames "B" then scroll down the page of B names to Broadhurst.
